Mayor Mike's Summer Reading Challenge Runs Through Aug. 1

social-print
"Mayor Mike's Summer Reading Challenge" encourages Fort Worth residents to maintain a healthy heart and healthy mind, to read for pleasure and to make more visits to public libraries. This year's theme — "Deep in the Heart of Texas" — emphasizes our Texas roots and heart health. The challenge runs through Aug. 1, and all library branches will be participating.

To take part in the program, participants must read for 20 minutes a day for at least 10 days; or they may complete a variety of activities designed to encourage reading and library usage. Registered participants who complete the activities will receive various prizes, including a certificate and a book bag.

To register, visit any library branch or use the online tools available on the Summer Reader page.
